DJ Ripraw began his music career with the aspiration to become a UK Hardcore producer. This was a short lived dream that fizzled out just after he bought his 1st pair of decks. A combination of his 2 old friends, Joshie J and MC Mouldwick managed to get him into listening to drum'n'bass and it was at this time in 2006 he started his journey as a drum'n'bass DJ
It was early 2007 when Ripraw started to get recognised locally on the dnb scene. The 1st person to give Ripraw a live set was DJ G-Rat of Southcoast DNB. Throughout 2007/2008 G-Rat booked Ripraw for many events and radio shows. Ripraw owes a lot of thanks to G-Rat for his help over the years to date
By 2009 Ripraw had become quite a well respected local DJ around Southampton, known for his fluent high-enegry jump-up style. During 2009 he was given the great oppertunity to DJ at GLADE FESTIVAL 2009, which he snapped up. His set with MC Mouldwick was a huge success pulling one of the biggest crowds of the night in the Solent Tent @ 5am
This year so far Ripraw has been booked for a multitude of events including Paradox & Nightflight. He has also been working on a new tune called 'Do You Smoke Doctor?' click on downloads (above) to hear it. Feedback is greatly appriciated.
